GARNIER SKIN NATURALS, SUN CONTROL DAILY MOISTURIZER.

Hello Friends! ❤❤❤

How is everyone doing? 😊
In recent years, there has been much hype in the Internet about using Sunscreen indoors; while cooking, while picking up clothes that you left outside for drying or while just doing random chores around the house! Even dermatologists recommend wearing Sunscreen through out the day!

But WHY so?
Because, “Whenever we can see the sun, he can see us too!”.

Even a little exposure to sun’s harmful rays can cause lasting damage to our skin.

And it’s not just the sun, even the cooking flame emits low amount of UV rays that we need to protect ourselves from.
Having said that, i know how irritating it is to apply Sunscreen topped with a Moisturizer during Summers!

So, when i came across this product from Garnier a few months back, which claims to be a Sunscreen plus Moisturizer, i instantly bought it.
GARNIER SKIN NATURALS, SUN CONTROL DAILY MOISTURIZER.

WHAT THE PACK CLAIMS: Sun Control Daily Moisturizer helps prevent skin darkening and premature ageing. SPF 15 UVA +, UVA+UVB PROTECTION, Dermatologically tested.

Its special formula blends a Moisturizer with selected ingredients:

VITAMIN E to help protect against free radicals and help delay the signs of ageing.

GLYCEROL & EXTRACT OF CORIANDER to retain the skin’s moisture and prevent it from drying while nourishing.
FULL INGREDIENTS LIST ABSENT.
COST: INR 185 for 50ml.
SHELF LIFE: 36 months.
MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:

Although Garnier had always disappointed me in the past, from their Sunscreens to shampoos, i still took the risk and purchased this product from Amazon after reading so many good reviews about it there.
I actually bought it only for indoor use as SPF 15  is too less to be used outdoors, and i prefer using a product meant only for sun protection, while i am in direct sun.
So let’s see how this product fared for me!
The Lotion has a mild floral smell to it, that fades away after application, so it won’t be  a problem for sensitive noses. Also it is light peach in color and non greasy in texture.

It has a medium consistency which is easy to spread on the skin but it DOESN’T get absorbed by the skin easily and forms a slight greasy white cast on the face which takes quite some time to fade/ get absorbed.

I have a combination skin and it made my face quite greasy and sweaty even when i used it indoors.
Can’t comment about “Premature ageing” part, BUT It doesn’t help “Prevent skin darkening”, as i applied it before going out in sun for just about 15 minutes and returned with a red face! 🙄 Even after applying my regular tan removal scrub, the redness remained for quite some time. Also it made me tan a little even during those 15 mins! 😡
I have used it during Winters too, when my skin gets a bit dry, but it still made my skin a little greasy and dark. 😑
SUMMING DOWN PROS AND CONS:

PROS:

1. It is an okayish product for dry skinned beauties, especially if you are planning to stay indoors for the whole day.
CONS:

1. Any skin type except dry ones, should not opt for this product or it would make them sweat like anything.

2. Doesn’t help prevent skin darkening.

3. Makes even normal skin quite greasy.

4. Low SPF.

5. Will make you tan badly if used outdoors.
RATING: 2/5

FINAL TAKE: I am never going to buy this again! It might suit extreme dry to dry skinned beauties, but normal to oily skinned girls, please stay away from it! 😅
Hope It Helps ❤

  1. Oh! I thought Garnier is a good brand. I have used some of its products and didn’t have complaints as such though they are not too good or something.
